Arc Flash hazards are dangerous and costly. This “luminous bridge formed in a gap between two electrodes can occur during a fault, or short circuit condition, that passes through an arc gap. This causes an ionization of the air, potentially expelling large amounts of deadly energy with temperatures that can reach as high as 35,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Facility Managers should not have to fear for the safety of their teams within their buildings.
