Mechanical Commissioning Agent – Facility Performance

Position Description

Our team is expanding and we looking for a Commissioning Agent to join our Facility Performance Team in South East Michigan (Greater Detroit). If you have experience with MEP building systems, a passion for Commissioning, and a desire to growth this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for to advance in your career. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, teachable, and willing to collaborate.

What do you need?

  • Adept at leading teams, building rapport with clients, confirming client deliverables, as well as planning, organizing, and directing all elements of the project.
  • Proficient at performing Mechanical Building Commissioning, system specific installation and operation checklists, inspection report, and testing protocols
  • Proficient in functional testing on equipment, field observations on static equipment, system design reviews and testing (HVAC equipment and controls, air, hydronic, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems)
  • Collaboration skills in working within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, ability to manage several projects at the same time, and timeliness in issuing reports

What qualifies you?

  • Located in Greater Metro Detroit or Ann Arbor
  • Willingness to commute or relocate near Royal Oak, MI
  • 3+ years in Mechanical Systems Design, Commissioning, or MEP Engineering
  • BCxA or BCxP Professional Certification; Or any Commissioning certification
  • Experienced Commissioning Agent, Technician or HVAC Equipment Service Technician
  • Preferred: 2 or more years of Project Management experience

  • Contribute to the team by mastering the skills of the role
  • Grow in proficiency by adding continuing education to your skill set
  • Interact and build rapport with clients for project management
