Electrical Facility Performance Engineer

Position Description Do you have a passion for Commissioning building systems? Synergy Consulting Engineers has an open position for a qualified candidate to join our growing Facility Performance Team. If you have experience with MEP building systems, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for you to advance in your career. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, teachable, and willing to collaborate. What do you need?
  • Enthusiasm to learn about Electrical Building Commissioning, system specific installation and operation checklists, inspection report, and testing protocols
  • Desire to grow in your knowledge of functional testing on equipment and field observations on static equipment.
  • Basic knowledge in system design reviews and testing (Electrical and controls, air systems, hydronic systems, and life safety systems)
  • Collaboration skills in working within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, ability to manage several projects at the same time, and timeliness in issuing reports
What qualifies you?
  • 1-2 years in Electrical Systems
  • Experienced Commissioning Technician or Electrician
  • Experience in Electrical Systems including schematic design, design development, construction specification editing, or construction administration.

  • Support on Commissioning projects with interpretation of technical specifications, equipment cutsheets & catalog data

Within 3 Months You Will…
  • Put what you’ve learned to action by ramping up your workload
  • Work independently on the jobsite and build proficiency in field observations, startups, and functional testing
  • Become proficient in utilizing the software to perform Commissioning
  • Immersed in the Synergy way of Commissioning
Within 6-12 Months You Will…
  • Contribute to the team by mastering the skills of the role
  • Grow in proficiency by adding continuing education to your skill set
  • Ability to grow into Project Management responsibilities
  • Interact and build rapport with clients for project management
