Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Building Information Modeling

A Building Information Model (BIM) is a visual representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility; a systematic quality control process that ensures that all building systems are coordinated according to the design intent and Owner’s operational needs. This is achieved by coordinating architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, and HVAC equipment drawings into a single model. Through clash detection and analysis, Synergy’s BIM team has generated a Return on Investment (ROI) with each BIM project before construction begins.

BIM drives more efficient sustainable design analysis, clash detection, construction planning, material and systems fabrication resulting in a consistent and positive ROI. Close coordination and communication between disciplines is the essence of BIM. Regardless of where designs originate, BIM brings all systems to life revealing issues that the typical design review processes often overlook.
